Privacy Policy

You can use Remedy without an account, and without telling us anything about yourself. This page explains what we keep if you do make an account. Cookies are covered in the Cookie Policy.
What an Account Holds
- Your username. Other people may see it.
- Your email address. Private: only you see it. It’s used to log you in and to send a link if you forget your password. We don’t send newsletters or adverts.
- Your password, stored scrambled so that nobody, including us, can read it.
- Your survey answers and saved songs, so they’re there on any device you log in on.
- The star ratings you give songs. Other people see only each song’s average and how many have rated it, never who gave which rating.
- Comments you post on songs. These are public, shown with your username and the date.
- Your learning notes, goal dates and practice log for the songs you’re learning. Private: only you see them.
- When your account was made, and when you last logged in.
- A security log of sign-ups, logins and password changes, with the email and IP address used, which Supabase keeps to protect accounts from misuse.
We don’t ask for your name, age, location or anything else, and we don’t sell or share what we keep.
Who Handles It
Accounts are stored by Supabase, which runs Remedy’s database and logins, and the site is hosted by Vercel. They handle this information only to run Remedy for us. Connections to the site are encrypted, and the database only lets each account read and change its own information.
How Long It’s Kept
Until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your username, email, password, survey answers, saved songs, star ratings, comments, notes and practice log straight away. Entries in the security log may be kept for a while longer, for security reasons only.
Your Choices
On your Account page you can change your username or password, log out, or delete your account and everything in it.
Do Not Track
Remedy doesn’t track visitors across other websites, so it treats everyone the same whether or not their browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Children
Accounts are for people aged 13 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we’ll delete it. Anyone can still use Remedy without an account.
Changes
If any of this changes, this page and the date at the top will be updated first.
